A Quick Note

If you have checked out the site since Saturday then you know that I have posted anything. I apologize for that. It may be a little difficult for me to post on the weekends. Dru and I went back to Fayette this weekend. It was a very short trip but well worth it. We stayed up until 3:45 on Friday night. Neither Dru nor I had done that sort of things since college. I hope she is doing ok at work today.

Quick question: Do you know those types of people that seem to moan and complain regardless of the situation? I really don’t like those people. I know that I am not above complaining but it really rubs me raw when somebody does it all the time.

That got me thinking. How often do I moan and complain to God? He has put me in this position to fulfill his calling. It doesn’t matter where I am at the time. The calling is the same. Just as Pastor Jon said yesterday during his sermon; “we are to love God, and love each other.” That’s all. It seems so simple, but yet it is so hard. I thank God for the blessing that he has given me another day to learn how to fulfill His call.

It'a Rachael Mulford, cool post! I have another song to go with your post thought you might like the lyrics. Have a blessed day!

Before I go to sleep I pray under the stars
Search my soul and check my heart
and thank God for

Another day
Another chance to love the ones I love
To find my way
To laugh, to dance
Watch the sun come up
Another day I get to live
As if
Every breath could be the last I take
I get another day

I've got a hand that I can hold
Someone who knows my soul
A safe place to lay my head at night
So why do I forget
How much I've been blessed in life
Forget what means the most to me
As I'm waking up again I feel my beating heart
So grateful that I've come this far
and thank Gof for

Another day
Another chance to love the ones I love
To find my way
To laugh, to dance
Watch the sun come up
Another day I get to live
As if
Every breath could be the last I take
I get another day

To make somebody smile
Go the extra mile
Take a wrong and make it right
And try to touch somebody's life
I get another day

Adam, I had a day Tuesday, Oct. 11, like your day Oct. 10. I had a very busy weekend and come Tuesday, I almost didn't go to my ladies Bible study from 6-8:30pm because I was just too tired. Well, I'm so glad that I did go. Our study is taking place in the book of Genesis learning about the 4 patriarchs. Last night we talked about Isaac and Rebekeh's two sons, Jacob and Esau and how Isacc blessed Jacob instead of Esau. And the difference between the two sons. Anyway Beth Moore, the writer of the study, shared with us, by way of video, her take on "Jacob's Ladder." She compares it to Jesus dying on the cross. In other words, the ladder reaches from the earth to heaven. The only way to haven for us is through Jesus Christ. He had to come to earth to die, hanging on the cross (they laid Jesus on the cross, nailed him to it and then raised it from the ground with him reaching toward heaven) for us so that we can be forgiven of our sins and go to heaven. Of course, Beth Moore's explanation was more eloquent than mine. My Bible study has been very insightful in recent weeks and I look forward to the coming weeks.

God is good. I am thankfull that he has given us a provision by which to spend eternity with Him.

Thank you both for your comments.

Adam, your welcome! I'm enjoying all of your posts and some of Mustoe's too.
