Summer Softball

Today is a big day. This day marks the beginning of softball season for Ashland United Methodist's team. There is nothing better than spring, freshly cut grass, and a bunch of middle aged men trying to relive their glory days of sports in high school. Ahhh...Those were the days.

Sadly, I will not be able to finish the season as Dru and I will be leaving in July, but I will be able to participate for about half of it. As was the case last year, I just hope I don't whiff at the ball. That's grounds for dismissal in slow-pitch softball! Seriously, a man could get laughed off the field. We shall see how it goes. I will keep you posted. Hopefully I won't pull a hammy.

Comments:
Glad that your bloggings are not like your softball ... don't have to be in KC to take a swing at that old blogball.

Did you get on any medication for those "despicable" allergies?

Hey Adam, you need to change both the links to Leah & Dustin. Leah's not using Shelah anymore and Dustin's won't come up at all.

Yes...I now take Allegra D and over the counter Clariton. It is somewhat doing the trick.

As an update...we did horrible last night. No practices before the big game was our demise.

On an up note, I was 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored and I made a spectacular foul ball catch for an out. It was actually on Sports Center last night. Any one "catch" it?

BBuuhahahahahah

Oh yeah...links are updated.

Good for you son, sounds like you had fun anyway, if some of your teamates didn't. How did the graduation go? Have you checked your email today?

Who is that in the picture? Some illegal immigrant?
