Too Little Too Late

Ok...it's been too long and a lot has happened since the last post. If you have been keeping up with Athan then you know that he is well. Mom and Dad are beginning to settle into some semblance of a routine.

My parents visited this past week and we had a splendid time. We got to go to Ohio and see the g-rents among other relatives. We also got to go to VBT (Vandalia Baptist Temple) for church this past Sunday. It was the church that I grew up in. I have to be honest in saying that I was rather proud of myself during the visit. I felt no animosity which is somewhat of a breakthrough for me at this point. There is no web-site for this church. Here is the closest thing I could find. The family in the picture is the family of the current Senior Pastor. Good times.

I am off from work for the next two weeks. Friday may actually have been my last day. We'll see if HR notices that I am gone more than three days. I hope not...I would miss my friends at the plant.

On a side note: Dru and I have been enjoying the first season of Dead Like Me today. Check it out if you have the time. It's an interesting concept.

Jan is coming into town tomorrow and we are going to Kings Island on Tuesday. I'm really looking forward to that.

Comments:
I'm intriqued... why would you have "felt animosity?"

I have been moving a lot in the past few years, and think that some of the things I learned or took away from the VBT days were not quite right...perhaps a bit short sided, but I have also been working on being appreciative of what was given to me. It all comes with continued maturity I suppose.

Please give Jan a Hi and a hug for me.

Adam, that was unsufficiently vague.

glad for your "no animosity." it is a memorable milestone.
