Pitocin Administered

Unfortunately pitocin has been administered to Dru up to this point. Hopefully this will speed up the process a bit because she was still only 2 centimeters dilated 3 hours after her water broke. Not a good sign, so we made the difficult decision to proceed with the drug. Let the pain begin! Perhaps we will have a son at the end of this thing. At least that is the goal!

Comments:
The contractions have already increased in the past 10 minutes...Dru just told me that she is going to have to get her sword out and turn into She-Ra!

Hang in there Dru. The same thing happened to me when I delivered Leah. My water broke and I was only 1 cent. dialated and she hadn't even dropped yet. Of course, at the time we didn't know we were having a girl. Anyway...my prayers and thoughts are with you.

Thinking about you guys. Hurry up, would ya?!

Are we having fun yet? We wish we could be there. Thank goodness for this blog...it is satisfying my curiosity, although a live broadcast of the delivery would be optimal. Maybe from the foot of the bed? No, okay we'll settle for pictures.

Much love,
Leigh and Family

You're tough and you can do it, and I know you don't want it but you know there is no shame in the epidural!
